SRI LANKA - KANDY MUSEUM [ 15 TH CENTURY ARTIFACTS ]



The Moonstone [ sandakada pahana ] symbolizes the cycle of 
SaṃsāraThe liyavel symbolise worldly desires (Taṇhā) and the 
lotus depicts the final achievement of Nirvana[12] The elephant, 
bull, lion and horse depict birth, decay, disease and death 
respectively, while the swans symbolize the distinction between 
good and bad.[1]


The grinding stones of different shapes for grinding grain and
medicinal herbs.



 Oil lamp of elaborate design, made of brass.




Daggers with exquisitely carved ivory handles.
