Sri Lanka - Traditional food[Kokis]

"Kokis" is a traditional Sri Lankan snack or delicacy. It is a crispy, deep-fried batter made with rice flour, coconut milk, and a pinch of salt. The mold is dipped in the batter which is then dipped in hot oil to fry until golden and crispy.

Although kokis is considered as a traditional Sri Lankan dish, it is believed to be of Dutch origin, from the time when parts of the country were under Dutch rule during the Kandyan period.
